au fait signals a sudden, casual change of topic — 'oh, by the way' — often something the speaker just remembered mid-conversation. Don't confuse it with en fait (from the discourse-particles lesson), which means 'actually/in fact' and corrects rather than introduces a new topic; the two look similar but do opposite conversational jobs.
franchement: blunt honesty, positive or negative
Franchement, je ne comprends pas pourquoi il a fait ça. (Frankly, I don't understand why he did that.)
நேர்மையா சொல்லணும்னா, அவன் ஏன் அப்படி செஞ்சான்னு எனக்கு புரியல.
franchement ('frankly/honestly') signals that the speaker is about to say something blunt, whether critical or complimentary, and is stepping outside normal politeness to do it. Placed at the very start of a sentence, it also works as a standalone exclamation of exasperation — Franchement ! ('Honestly!' / 'Come on!').
tout de même: mild indignation beneath a surface complaint

tout de même overlaps with quand même (from the discourse-particles lesson) but leans specifically toward a note of mild indignation or wounded surprise — 'still, that wasn't quite fair.' It's frequently paired with the conditionnel passé's regret constructions (aurait pu, aurait dû) you just learned, since both are about registering that something should have gone differently.
décidément: a pattern the speaker has just noticed
Décidément, il est toujours en retard ! (Really, he's always late! / He's clearly always late!)
நிச்சயமா, இவன் எப்பவுமே லேட்டுதான்!
décidément marks a conclusion the speaker has just arrived at after noticing a repeated pattern — closer to 'clearly/decidedly, this keeps happening' than to a neutral statement of fact. It often carries a light note of resigned amusement or exasperation, similar to how Tamil's நிச்சயமா can underline an 'of course, obviously' realization.
