je voudrais — the polite way to order, not je veux

Ordering with je veux ('I want') sounds blunt, almost rude, in a restaurant. je voudrais ('I would like') is the standard polite ordering phrase — it's a conditionnel form you'll learn fully later, but it's worth using correctly from day one, the way Tamil politely softens requests with தயவுசெய்து and a request-form verb ending rather than a flat command.
