A French presentation leans heavily on explicit sequencing words to signal where you are in the structure — far more than casual conversation needs. Opening with tout d'abord ('first of all'), moving through ensuite/puis ('next/then'), and closing with pour conclure/en conclusion ('in conclusion') gives the listener a map of your talk even before they've heard the content.
