This is the concessive-clauses pattern from B2 (zwar...aber) pushed one level further: instead of a quick zwar, C1 argumentation opens with a full concession sentence (Es lässt sich nicht leugnen, dass...) that genuinely acknowledges the counter-argument's strength, before pivoting with dennoch to the writer's actual position. The extra weight given to the concession is what signals C1-level nuance rather than B2's more direct back-and-forth.
