ഞാൻ വിജയിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. / നീ വിജയിക്കണമെന്ന് ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
Both mean roughly 'to hope/wish', but espérer takes a normal indicative or infinitive and feels like a realistic hope about your own life, while souhaiter que + a different subject triggers the subjonctif you'll study at B2 (lesson 40) — souhaiter carries a slightly more formal, wish-like tone.
