Passive with Modal-like Verbs: devoir être fait

Combine the passive voice from B1 with devoir or pouvoir, and French stacks three pieces at once — the modal-like verb conjugated, être left in the infinitive, and a past participle that still has to agree with the subject, a compact idea Malayalam usually folds into a single word instead.

Malayalam stacks this meaning directly onto a single verb: ചെയ്യുക ('do') plus the passive marker -അപ്പെടുക plus the necessity ending -ണം fuse into one word, ചെയ്യപ്പെടണം. French spreads the same layered meaning across three separate words — devoir/pouvoir conjugated to match the subject, être left unconjugated in the infinitive, and the main verb's past participle — but the participle at the end still has to agree in gender and number with the subject, exactly like an ordinary être-passive.

Malayalam

കത്ത് ഇന്ന് അയക്കപ്പെടണം.

Because être — not devoir — is the actual passive auxiliary here, the agreement rule you'd use for any être-passive still applies: match the participle to the grammatical subject (une lettre → envoyée). Malayalam verbs never change shape for gender or number at all — ayakkappedanam stays exactly the same whether the subject is a letter, a parcel, or a document — so this is one spot where French demands an agreement check that Malayalam simply never asks for.
