se plaindre is a pronominal verb (like lesson 20's reflexives) and always pairs with de before what's being complained about — je me plains, tu te plains, il se plaint, nous nous plaignons, an irregular -aindre conjugation worth noting (plaindre, craindre, and éteindre all follow this same -ain-/-aign- pattern).
