Malayalam's comparison structure never runs into irregularity at all, since the comparison word (ഇതിനെക്കാൾ) and the adjective itself both stay fixed regardless of which adjective is being compared — so German's handful of irregular comparatives (gut, gern, hoch, nah, viel) has no Malayalam parallel to lean on. There's no pattern to derive these from; they're a short, closed list worth memorizing directly, the same way you already memorized gut → besser → am besten.
