Einerseits ist die Stadt teuer, andererseits gibt es viele Jobs. (On the one hand the city is expensive, on the other hand there are many jobs)
ഒരു വശത്ത് നഗരം ചെലവേറിയതാണ്, മറുവശത്ത് ധാരാളം ജോലികളുണ്ട്. (one-side..., other-side...)
This is a near-literal translation both ways: einerseits is built from ein ('one') plus Seite ('side'), and Malayalam's ഒരു വശത്ത് means exactly the same thing, 'on one side'. andererseits and മറുവശത്ത് both mean 'on the other side'. Each half acts as its own main clause with verb-second order in German (ist, gibt both stay in position two) — there's no subordinate-clause verb-final trap here, unlike most of the connectors in this course.
