Indirect Questions: ob and W-words

Embedding a question inside a statement ('I don't know whether...', 'I wonder where...') pushes the embedded verb to the end in German, just like every other subordinate clause you've built since A2.

ob fills the gap when there's no question word
Ich weiß nicht, ob er kommt. (I don't know whether he's coming — ob for yes/no questions)
அவன் வருவானா என்று எனக்குத் தெரியாது. (வருவானா-என்று — the question particle -ஆ plus என்று do this job)
You already know German's W-question words (wo, wann, wer...) route directly into an indirect question with verb-final order: Ich weiß nicht, wo er wohnt. The one new piece is ob, used only when the original question had no question word — a plain yes/no question. Tamil marks a yes/no question with the particle -ஆ on the verb, then closes the whole embedded question with என்று, similar in spirit to how ob opens the German version and dass elsewhere closes a Tamil quote.
