Formal written German often compresses an entire relative clause into a single long adjective phrase in front of the noun — which, unlike the relative clauses you learned in B1, actually mirrors Tamil's participle-before-noun habit almost exactly.

In B1's relative clauses lesson, German and Tamil diverged sharply — German put the description after the noun with a pronoun, Tamil put it before with a participle. Extended participial constructions are German's formal-register way of doing what Tamil does by default: laufende ('running') becomes an adjective-like participle, gathers its own modifiers (schnell, 'fast') in front of it, and the whole bundle sits before Mann — no relative pronoun, no clause after the noun. This construction is common in newspapers, laws, and academic writing, and it's the one place formal German word order actually converges with ordinary Tamil word order.
