Lesson 38.55B1

Reacting & Giving Feedback

అభిప్రాయం తెలియజేయడం

The second half of the B1 speaking exam has you react to a partner's presentation — asking questions and offering feedback with the same politeness cushioning you'd use giving feedback in Telugu.

Grammar Comparison

వ్యాకరణ పోలిక

Cushioned feedback, not blunt correction

German

Das finde ich interessant, aber hast du auch an ... gedacht? (I find that interesting, but have you also thought about ...?)

Telugu

అది ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉంది, కానీ నువ్వు ...గురించి కూడా ఆలోచించావా? (that's interesting, but have you thought about...?)

Both languages soften a challenge or a question with an opening compliment before raising the actual point — Das finde ich interessant, aber... mirrors exactly how Telugu speakers cushion pushback with అది ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉంది, కానీ... first. Notice the yes/no question suffix -ఆ on ఆలోచించావా (from ఆలోచించావు + ఆ), the same particle you'll see marking every Telugu yes/no question. Lead every piece of feedback with this same acknowledge-then-question shape, rather than jumping straight to your point.
