Lesson 3A1
Numbers 0–10
अंक ०-१०
Dutch numbers zero through ten are short standalone words, just like Hindi's — no visible pattern connecting them yet, so this first batch is pure memorization on both sides.
Grammar Comparison
व्याकरण तुलना
Numbers 0-10: pronounced roughly as spelled
Dutch
nul, één, twee, drie, vier, vijf, zes, zeven, acht, negen, tien
Hindi
शून्य, एक, दो, तीन, चार, पांच, छह, सात, आठ, नौ, दस
Like Hindi's शून्य से दस, Dutch's first eleven numbers (0 through 10) are standalone words with no shared building blocks between them — there's no shortcut here, only straightforward memorization. From eleven onward, both languages start building numbers more predictably out of smaller pieces, covered in the next numbers lesson.
