French venir de + infinitive ('to have just done') stays entirely in the présent tense — je viens de lire, literally 'I come from reading'. Hindi expresses the same recency with अभी-अभी ('just now') placed before an ordinary past-tense verb: मैंने अभी-अभी यह लेख पढ़ा। Where French swaps out the past tense entirely for a présent-tense fixed construction, Hindi simply adds a time adverb on top of its normal past tense — so resist reaching for a Hindi-style past-tense verb after venir de.

venir de + infinitif = 'to have just done' — Hindi keeps the past tense and adds अभी-अभी instead
Je viens de lire cet article.
मैंने अभी-अभी यह लेख पढ़ा।
Hindi marks recency with the adverb अभी-अभी ('just now') sitting in front of an ordinary past-tense verb, पढ़ा. French takes a different route: venir de is a fixed construction — présent tense of venir + de + infinitive — that replaces the past tense entirely, so je viens de lire, not a passé-composé sentence with some extra word for 'just'. Keep venir in the présent even though the meaning is about something that already happened — there's no Hindi shortcut that maps अभी-अभी directly onto a French adverb, since French absorbs that meaning into the verb construction itself instead.
