c'est + adjective — quick reactions
C'est génial ! / C'est dommage. / C'est bien, mais...
அருமை! / பரிதாபம். / நல்லது, ஆனால்...
c'est + adjective is the fastest way to react to something in French — génial (great), nul (terrible, informal), dommage (a shame), incroyable (unbelievable). Some of these (c'est dommage que, c'est bien que) trigger the subjonctif when followed by a full clause — that mechanism comes at B2 (lesson 40); for now, keep reactions to the simple c'est + adjective form or c'est + adjective + de + infinitif (c'est bien de le dire, 'it's good to say it').
