passive-voice પાઠમાં જોયું તેમ, પ્રયોગશાળાની પ્રક્રિયાઓ વર્ણવતી વખતે કોણે કર્યું એ મહત્વનું નથી હોતું — શું કરવામાં આવ્યું એ મહત્વનું હોય છે, એટલે અહીં passive voice સ્વાભાવિક પસંદગી બની રહે છે — ગુજરાતીનું 'કરવામાં આવ્યું' જેવું કર્મણિ બાંધકામ પણ આ જ તર્કને અનુસરે છે.
