Descrevendo uma imagem
Descrever uma foto é uma tarefa clássica de prova oral, e existe um vocabulário fixo para isso. As expressões de posição na imagem não têm tradução literal em português.

'Au premier plan' e 'à l'arrière-plan' organizam a descrição

Au premier plan, on voit un homme. À l'arrière-plan, il y a une maison.

Em primeiro plano, vê-se um homem. Ao fundo, há uma casa.
A estrutura esperada numa prova é ir do primeiro plano ao fundo e depois da esquerda para a direita, usando 'on voit' e 'il y a'. Note o uso do 'on' impessoal, que corresponde ao nosso 'vê-se'. Para arriscar uma interpretação sem afirmar, usam-se 'il semble que' e 'on dirait que', equivalentes a 'parece que' — fórmulas que os avaliadores esperam ouvir.
